Ex-Styx enforcer turned mercenary. Which is to say, she went from in-house murder to occasional freelance murder. Most people know her as the Physis who rides through Orre in a black all-terrain motorcycle. She's willing to do a lot of dangerous jobs as long as the client is willing to provide food and lodgings. She's a cheaper guard/collector than bribing a Gladiator. Another plus: she doesn't smell like cheap beer.

She has a lot of repeat clients. Sophia maintains a good track record for discretion where it's needed. Selfish asshole clients are fine, so long as she retains the right to refuse dodgy jobs. She's not desperate enough to risk the ire of the Gladiators or the Ciphers as a whole. She's got more self-preservation instinct than that.

Sophia doesn't usually stick around a place for too long. Being on the run keeps her enemies on their toes. I imagine that most encounters with her will be pretty touch-and-go, but she travels a lot. You'll likely meet her again.

Due to a really convoluted childhood history, Sophia doesn't really have friends or family. What she has instead are people that she kind of likes, stars that she finds to be oddly magnetic. Sometimes they like her back. That's as far as Sophia gets most of the time, and she thinks that she's okay with that.

She likes people who are idealistic or willing to risk themselves for something other than their own survival. She'll tell off martyrs for not thinking of their own welfare, but her objections are half-hearted. She likes people who are better human beings than herself.

She was Styx once, but some of those folk have really complicated feelings towards Sophia ever since she submerged an offshore base as a big "fuck you" to her boss and all the colleagues that she hated. Not every Styx group was harmed by her actions. Some competitors benefited from the destruction, but most who identify with Styx will definitely be wary of her. Sometimes wariness commands respect. Other times, it commands a gun to her head.

Sophia doesn't really begrudge Cipher for trying to take over the region. She'll begrudge them once the Shadow Pokemon project goes public. She knows a thing or two about being turned into a weapon, and by then she'll want every Cipher Admin dead. Good luck, guys.

She doesn't have any paperwork. Bureaucratic Gladiators Hate Her.

She would rather not sleep around to get out of bad situations, but she can do it in a pinch. Gender doesn't really matter in that instance, since she's not actually trying to enjoy those encounters. Otherwise, she's heterosexual.

Sophia hasn't really given love a lot of intensive thought. Before that, she wants someone who will stay. Someone who will follow.

Kiran is the scion of the prosperous Khan family, a priest-warrior for Arceus, and an occasional television celebrity. When he's not on patrol duty, he lends his pretty face to charity events and apolitical causes.

His gracious demeanor and Phenac manners have captured hearts across the region, but his commitment to Orre's security is real. If you break the law, then you're going to answer to him.

It's not unheard of for young women to misbehave for the opportunity to speak to him privately. Gladiator protocols against misdemeanor have become slightly more punitive as a result.[break][break]




Kiran is a friendly guy, and he'll be polite to anyone irregardless of uniform. He thinks that Styx could afford to clean up their act, but he won't push for unnecessary arrest unless a crime is actively being committed in front of him.

Most of his true friends will be other Gladiators. Kiran is a calm, reliable ally in the field. He can be a little frivolous about material things, sure. At least you can trust that his heart's in the right place, and he won't talk to you about Arceus unless you want to. Notice how I didn't say that he's a particularly nice person. He's not. He's just got a bunch of ideas about what good and evil is and enough time on his hands to do something with them.

Wrongdoers, generally. He also considers the creation of Shadow Pokemon to be a crime against The Original One. Kiran seems easygoing, but he takes his professional duties very seriously.[break][break]
Oh, and he has a really hard time speaking about what's personally on his mind. There are probably people who hate his fake ass for good reason.

Half the region wants to have his babies, and bachelors/bachelorettes are going to have to compete with that. Kiran does nothing to discourage their advances. Good luck.

A traveler from a faraway land. A Pokemon researcher with a prestigious doctorate. A general of a lost war. Alya is all of these things, and she could forget if she so chose. She could start anew. Instead, she's become an enforcer for Cipher in order to find a way to save her world.

Basically she's a traumatized dimension traveler from a region that nobody in Orre has ever heard of. What you have to know is that she can and will kick your ass for science. She's collecting battle data for something, and not even her lieutenants in Cipher know if it's for anything beyond personal interest.

She doesn't go out of her way to make friends, since it's not her intention to stay in Orre forever. Nevertheless, some people may be drawn by her leaderlike charisma. Alya herself is drawn to the sciencey types who can speak knowledgeably on the condition of Pokemon.
