[attr="class","hatemyself"]Colosseum fights are a really big deal in Orre. Instead of gyms where anyone can attain recognition if they try hard enough, only the winners will attain any glory. People from small villages will travel miles in order to glimpse a tournament with tons of participants. Both rich and poor, strong and feeble, famous and obscure will attend Colosseum matches with patriotic fervor.
But surely you're not content with merely being a spectator? Those who win in a Colosseum are eligible for great prizes, and the dubious glory of being the flavor of the week. Children will throw themselves at your feet, while local thugs might be stupid enough to mug you for loot. All in all, it's good to be the king.

[attr="class","hatemyself"]Player characters can regularly take part in Colosseum matches as part of the tournament system. When signups open, you may register (1) character of yours to take part. Even undercover Cipher can participate as long as they do not register with any Shadow Pokemon.
You must register (3) Pokemon for singles tournaments, and (4) Pokemon for doubles tournaments. You must abide by normal battle rules for Colosseum matches. There must be (8) sign-ups in order for a tournament to take place. Those who sign up after the slots fill up may be placed on a waitlist in case of default.
Battles will take place in a bracket system. In the First Round, (8) trainers will fight in (4) matches. In the Second Round, (4) trainers will fight in (2) matches. In the Third round, (2) trainers will fight (1) match.
If a Champion has previously won at that Colosseum, then the victor of the third match must defeat the Champion in order to claim their crown. If the Champion defaults, then the winner of the previous three matches will automatically become the Champion.

[attr="class","hatemyself"]The Colosseum is the only place in Orre where you can obtain TMs, aside from the weekly lottery. Rich donors are also known to occasionally put up rare Pokemon with unusual movesets in the prize pool as well.
