Unlike Phenac Colosseum, Pyrite's Colosseum has crept further and further into a state of disrepair as evidenced by the crooked and broken turbine on the side of the building. Part of the floor has given way and exposed the Under beneath it. Despite this, tourneys are still battled with spectators turning out in the hundreds, even those from the Under.

While reports of crime in Pyrite Town may be exaggerated the same cannot be said for rumours coming from the Under. Once fabled to be buried and filled to flood out criminals, this underground shanty town is still populated with the poorest in Orre. Styx's influence flows through its narrow alleys.

Only in the past few years have the Grid managed to repurpose the Under’s subway station as a base of operations. Almost all of the Under's residents still believe it to be wholly filled in and mistake the nigh unrivalled electronic security for disrepair. Taking advantage of old electronics within the complex, the Grid have managed to hook up quite the rig.

Pyrite Super Grand Hotel was once one of the only ritzy buildings in this town but now there has been a boom of new and upscale developments along this road. It only serves to price out the poorer residents of Pyrite town.

Once a flourishing mining town, the locals have long traded their mining picks for lockpicks following dire economic times. Yet although many Pyrite Town residents may have resorted to crime to make ends meet, they are still fiercely proud of the town its roguish reputation. In truth, reports of poverty and crime are sometimes exaggerated but in Pyrite Town there’s honor amongst thieves.
