PERSONALITY: The simplest way to describe Ricki is she is a good person who means well. Being highly approachable and friendly, she tends to get along with others easily and doesn't usually have a hard time breaking the ice when it comes to meeting new people. With a very down to earth and laid-back vibe, Ricki isn't the type to get hooked up on past issues or judge people for mistakes they've made. When a person has dedicated themselves to changing for the better, she's one of the first to chime in and help them with that. She's always been more about the here and now and prefers to judge people more on who they are and what they're doing in the present.

Which leads to where the she means well can roll into effect, because Ricki can certainly rub people wrong when she feels like they're heading down a bad road. She's nosy and stubborn, having a habit of getting even preachy when people actively do things she views as wrong. It tends to be a source of frustration for some of her younger friends especially, because Ricki gets almost motherly towards them - which leads to her almost being naggy when they decide to be a little mischievous. ( Aside from when she herself is getting into mischief. I never said Ricki was smart and she admits to being hypocritical. )

Ricki is someone who is open minded and will listen to reason, to the point she'd drop an argument altogether when she sees it. But a lot of the time, when she's set her mind on something, she does not budge on it. It might take a bit of work to make her understand proper reason, since she's stubborn to the point where when even most people would consider an argument to be done, Ricki is the type of person to turn around and kick the door back open with the declaration of "AND ANOTHER THING!"

But... She means well? Why exactly is the simple fact that Ricki wishes the best for those around her. She wants to ensure those around her avoid hardship and the repercussions of bad decisions so much so, she's willing to become something of a villain to them in process. Some might view her as overly critical or pushy and she understands that and accepts it at this point. Her self-worth is nothing to talk about honestly, so while she gives off the air of someone who doesn't care what others say or think about her, she truly does. Her low self-worth has reached the point of Ricki being willing to be a martyr if it ever came down to it. She has a constant feeling that she has to prove herself and that she's never good enough for the things she has.

This lowly view of herself is hard to see most of the time, but it can be see in many of her personal relationships. Times when she struggles to go out of her way to do things for lovers or close friends. Especially when her friends are those in high positions and she realizes that her presence could reflect poorly on them. She looks at herself as something of a side character in the lives of those around her, and has practically accepted the idea of nothing being forever. Despite this internal heavy weight she carries, that doesn't stop Ricki from presenting herself as an optimistic shiny ray of hope and positivity, though.

BIOGRAPHY: While her humble beginnings started off in the beautiful luxurious land of Kalos, Ricki more so considers the island region of Alola as her home sweet home. She spent the first few years of her life as a typical little girl - loving dresses and dolls, pining for the expensive things and wanting to fit in with all the 'popular' girls. But, while her aunt and grandparents were wealthy with their stunning hotel and real estate business, Ricki's mother was far less fortunate. It was after a few years of just barely scraping by on rent in a small apartment that her mother decided the high prices of Kalos were not fit for this single mother still trying to find her way in life.

So after much consideration, Ricki was lifted from her in land city living and dropped down on the city at sea. With the more isolated location of Alola and the much more traditional locals, the prices made life far easier on Ricki's mother and certainly opened her world to consider new things. From meeting the Pokemon that would eventually become her first official Pokemon - Sparx - to discovering her love for surfing, skate boarding, riding Pokemon and adventure in general, Ricki grew into her own person rather than trying to copy the status quo she'd been exposed to before.

The years went by with Ricki meshing well with her new surroundings. She had many friends from the trainer to the Team Skull grunts parading around. The latter occasionally offering her to be part of the gang, but she declined under the fear of her mother losing her damn mind more than usual - given Ricki's infamous stupid ideas back in the day. (Not that they've gotten much better, but they're fewer and far between now-a-days.) From trying to ride wild Pokemon instead of the regulated permitted rides, to exploring dangerous locations, Ricki's life was nothing short of fun, especially when she met her best friend, and first boyfriend, Zernebog Romanov.

What started off as a simple desire to help him try and find his father, turned into a bitter sweet short romance between the two. There's not a thing Ricki could say she regretted about her time with him, honestly. She offered him support when he struggled with his new family, and Zernebog offered her guidance and company during a time when she was still struggling to understand herself. But alas their love was short and ended far before either desired after one particularly nasty incident with Zernebog's step family resulting in his being forced to leave Alola, seemingly forever. While both Ricki and Zernebog considered the idea of a long distance romance, they ultimately decided that it was best to let each other go. So with that, they parted - reluctantly - as friends. For about a year, they managed to stay in contact, but with Zernebog's questionable connection up in his mountain home, and both becoming far busier with the day to day, they eventually lost contact with each other completely.

Shortly before her last few messages to Zernebog, Ricki decided it was time to try to find purpose for herself. She explored the Island Challenges and trials, even briefly becoming a Captain on her own island for a bit. Sparx as her partner and Theus - the Ralts turned Kirlia that was a gift from Zernebog - she was a Psychic specialist that wasn't a psychic, funny enough. During this short time of captain-ing, she met her next love, a man by the name of Erin. It seemed like a dream come true when they met. He was the prince charming she desperately wished for after everything, and she quickly dove right in at the first chance to experience the bliss of romance all over again. But, unfortunately, this romance wasn't even bitter sweet. What started off as a dream came true quickly turned into a nightmare.

She can still remember the fights so bitterly. How she thought she understood what he wanted one minute, and then he'd change his mind the next. How he'd say it was all her fault, and accuse her of never trying to care for him when she tried so hard to do just that. He'd build her up with so much praise one day, then shatter her the next. He was forceful and a wreck that Ricki could never fix despite how hard she tried. Time and time again, she tells herself she should have known to let him go sooner than she did, but now scars cover her body from the last time she saw him without some sort of law official present.

That was about a year ago though. After much physical therapy and Prometheus (Theus) offering Heal Pulses galore on particularly rough days, Ricki's managed to build herself back up, again. Giving up her position as a Captain during her time in the hospital, she deeply considered the next set of possibilities for herself. At first, she left Alola to explore the world, but found herself drifting to Orre. A land unlike most she'd been to before, that was deep in scum and trouble. Maybe it was the idea of trying to play hero that appealed to Ricki's desire to try and do something right that brought her there. Or it was probably that e-mail she got while in the hospital. An e-mail about joining some group called Grid... Either way, it was time to start moving again and first thing's first, it was meeting her new partner - whoever that was.

HISTORY: Back when she was a Pichu, Sparx was like the neighborhood stray that Ricki always played with. The two grew particularly close, even if Ricki didn't put her in a pokeball until she was already a Pikachu. From exploring caves to surfing high tides together, they're a rambunctious duo that dive in headfirst together into everything, even if it gets them into trouble.

HISTORY: Traded to her from Zernebog Romanov, Theus was something of a parting gift when Zernebog had to leave Alola. Over the years, Theus grew into a chivalrous and gentle Gallade that is quite protective of his trainer per request of his original owner. Theus acts as something of a babysitter often times though because of his new trainer's unorthodox personality.
