at first, julio’s eyes are on something on the stall table. it has hotspur’s eyes too. the hawlucha’s wings tickle his neck as it leans over, staring with keen eyes at what seems to be a chain. thin loops like a pendant but a length that went far beyond a few hoops and into more than a few feet. picking it up, julio looks up to ask something of the stalltender but he can’t catch sight of him. he straightens his back higher, glancing around. he does not see the tender. but familiarity strikes him when he sees a man far through the crowds of people in gateon port. the man sees him too.[break][break]
julio freezes. his eyes widen and he’s taken aback for a second. but then the almighty vegas grins. forsooth, he should know by now that the forces of fate would ne'er cease to surprise him!![break][break]
he takes off running. past the stall, chain still in his hand, and hotspur clinging to his hair to stay balanced as the great vegas chases aries.[break][break]
