| Kiran has earned this vacation to Mt. Battle's famous hot springs. He's been working overtime for the past week without complaint. If anything, it was only his closest friends who suggested that he should get some sun. Of course, this being Kiran and all, he took the suggestion to its most extreme conclusion. Hence why he was extremely late to the Gateon confrontation.
He had gotten his Pokemon to hike up here with him. Nitya enjoyed a calming soak in the healing waters while Shiv was still sulking in the corner. She didn't trust water that was so sweltering hot. Kiran supposes that he can't blame her; he might not have been so eager if he were a bug in metal armor.
Shiv wanders away from the waters of the hot spring and goes poking around the cliffside. She notices a shadow dart away at her approach. She powers up with a Swords Dance in case there was something unsavory afoot.

| It's a testament to Shiv's brave nature that he actually stuck around to dodge the Fire Blitz instead of running the fuck out of there. The noise of the crash serves to alert Kiran to some misbehavior. Samurott grudgingly climbs out of the hot spring to investigate. Nitya grins when she sees what Shiv is up against. No wonder the enemy hadn't been turned into sashimi yet.
The Samurott uses Swords Dance and Aqua Tail as her trainer stays in the hot springs for a long soak.
This definitely takes the top three for "Shiv's Worst Vacations"

[attr="class","hatemyself"] [attr="class","pkmnbox"] oh no that was a miss KERPEEEEEEW CRASH CRASH CRASH she listens to all the rocks getting smashed up on her impact into the rocky shoreline before picking herself up in a rolling move, she couldn't afford to sit still not when she had things to tackle and berry thieves to reprimand [break][break] but wait where did the lancey one go that was the one who took her berries and wow that guy was pretty big and blue and that tail was shin- [break][break] The Darumaka doesn't get a chance to finish their thoughts, because they are clocked upside the head and smashed into the side of the springs. If you look hard enough, you can see twitching feet amongst the rubble, and a small furry butt beyond that. At least she was dreaming of berries. [break][break] KIRAN KHAN |

| Whatever was going on, it was too noisy for Kiran. He gets out from the bath, not bothering to put on a towel.
"Could you two keep it down out here?"
Only Nitya looks suitably bashful about having caused such a ruckus. Shiv stands defiant in the face of what he was sure was a life-or-death encounter.
Then Kiran notices the furry little Pokemon in the wreck. Eh, he shouldn't leave it here. Sometimes wild Pokemon would call its allies for revenge. He takes a single Pokeball and pushes it against her foot.
The capture is successful, courtesy of gladiator privilege.
