His incredibly independent personality, in addition to his lazy attitude, makes him a little standoffish--some would even call it assholeish, and they’re right. He’s a bit of an asshole. A clever asshole who doesn’t form close bonds in fear of getting too close, only to have the relationship ripped away from him, but an asshole nonetheless. Other than that, he enjoys spending time with his Pokemon, playing video games, and making money with as little effort as physically possible. [break][break] BIOGRAPHY: Xander was raised in Cinder City, and has the asthma to prove it. He’s not entirely sure where he was born; his parents gave him up for adoption, so really, he could’ve been born anywhere. Maybe it was the knowledge that he wasn’t a “real” Cross, or maybe it was his bright red hair compared to his sisters’ dirty blonde, but he was never particularly close to his family. Even his friends were kept at a fair distance. He was a self-sufficient kind of kid. [break][break] With nobody to guide him but a spiky little hamster, Xander got into tons of trouble. A brief stint in juvie just taught him how not to get caught. His parents worried themselves sick over their poor little boy and beat themselves up for not teaching him any better, and continued to not teach him any better for fear of further alienating him. They tried to be the cool parents to teenage Xander, the kind that gave him the newest technology and the coolest clothes, and that was when he flourished. [break][break] He picked up the moniker Xross after gaining a small amount of internet fame. That same fame bit him in the ass in real life when he was jumped while walking home from school. Apparently, a certain organization didn’t like the little upstart leaking financial information. Their message got across well: join them, or sign the death warrant. Intimidated, Xander joined. [break][break] His parents think he’s doing tech security work for banks, and that’s why he can afford his own place. They’re very proud that their son has turned over a new leaf, and brag to all their friends about how great he is, or how they always knew he would do great things. The reality is much different. Xander’s settled into life as a black hat hacker very well. He has begun expanding into more physical crimes, staking out certain areas and passing along the information for big heists. For the most part, he sits in his apartment, and gorges himself on potato chips.
