PERSONALITY: Kiran is serene, easygoing, and wouldn't look out of place on a reality show. In fact, he would prefer to talk people out of doing irreparable harm to themselves and others. Don't let that fool you into thinking that he's not a capable fighter - he just prefers to bend instead of watching others break.

He takes Arcean religion pretty seriously. One can tell that Kiran is gearing up for a fight because he'll be uttering a quick prayer to Arceus under his breath. He doesn't get overly pedagogical to people who don't want to hear it, but he's always contemplating his actions in terms of the effects that it will have on the regional balance. Serving Pokemon means saving humans from their own stupid criminality. However, his sympathy has limits. Kiran takes on a coldly disappointed demeanor whenever he meets someone who is truly evil.

He's a charming Gladiator. His exploits and grace have fascinated young Orrean women for years. It can be difficult for his enemies to take him seriously when bystanders are squealing loudly at him wherever he goes. They underestimate him at their own risk.

Nevertheless, these days Kiran is convinced that he needs nothing less than a paid vacation. If he's smiling a lot, that means that he hasn't been asleep in 48 hours.

BIOGRAPHY: The Khan family is disgustingly rich and well-connected in Orre. They weren't always affluent enough to live in Phenac, but aggressive mercantilism and strategic marriages would eventually push the Khans to the top.

Kiran had been a polite, considerate child. Then puberty hit and all of a sudden he wasn't anymore. His father pushed him into the clergy in an attempt to instill old world values into his oldest son again. Unfortunately, it worked too well. He became a true believer and ran off to serve with the Gladiators. It took his father years to get over the disappointment.

In the meantime, Kiran was doing God's work. He was able to meet interesting people all over the region, even if he did end up arresting most of them. He also found an important friend through his travels, and he hopes to meet them again. He neglected none of his luxurious habits, and Kiran has since run up quite a bit of debt. Maybe it will catch up with him one day, but in the meantime he's enjoying a tight position underneath the Eques.

He's a bit of a minor celebrity in the region as well, making it exceedingly difficult for the unsavory elements of Orre to come collecting. On the flip side, his fame makes undercover work unnecessarily difficult as well. But that is what the Laquearii are for, isn't it?
